Hot on the heels of the release of The Golden Age, the debut album from Woodkid – we have a neat remix of the track Boat Song by French DJ and producer Kulkid.
Listen to the remix here:
Kulkid, whom according to his own bio, was born in the forest and was raised by animals – has upped the pace and sound of the original piano track to create a punchy/upbeat new house sound that complements the melody of the original recording nicley.
If you asked anyone two weeks ago who Vance Joy was, no one would have a clue. However last week saw the release of his debt EP, God Loves You When You’re Dancing and he has since generated a huge amount of attention. The Australian artist has managed to tap into that niche of music which people are ever hungry for. His sound is a mix of Bon Iver and Mumford and Sons; let’s hope he doesn’t follow in the same steps as the latter.
Two tracks are publicly released, From Afar and Riptide both equally enjoyable. There are two reasons I’m going to post Riptide: Firstlybecause it’s so bloody good and I’m sure you’ll love it. Secondly because it’s so damn catchy and like me, I want you all to be cursed with it playing in your head for the next few days. Enjoy.
Fresh off the back of his Grammy wins for Best Alternative Music Album & Best New Artist (not sure how they work that latter one out but whatever, the guy deserves it) and continuing the trend of beautifully shot Bon Iver videos, here we have the rather nice new video for Towers courtesy of Nabil Elderkin. Stunning cinematography combined with an excellent song from one of last years best releases.
